Published on Oct 1, 2016Although one of the most famous songs associated with the Sons of the Pioneers, it was composed by Bob Nolan in the 1930s while working as a caddy in Los Angeles. Originally titled “Tumbling Tumble Leaves” the song was renamed Tumbling Tumbleweeds and rose to fame with the 1935 Gene Autry film of the same name.
The tumbleweeds are from facebook, via he who takes care of me, yep, our Frank, along with the first song!
Later other facebookers posted the rolling weeds, too…
The second song I searched for through a few Sons vids, because, well, the dang dude got me going and I love them to death (having been weaned on them) and look, Gol Dang It, I found the very first one!
There are a ton of others, these are the ones you guys deserve though… best of the best, yeah?
