Cryptid Sightings And Reports
An interesting photograph has made its way online which some believe may be evidence of the legendary Maryland Goatman. According to the report, the photo was taken in or around the community of Laurel by a man named Ryan Davis.
The legendary creature is often described as a bipedal humanoid with a human male upper body, furry goat-like legs, and horns like that of a goat. There is an urban legend about the creature often known simply at “goatman” which claims the creature was some kind of strange mutant that escaped from the nearby Beltsville Agricultural Research Center and some versions even that it used to be a scientist there.
Here is what the witness who reportedly took the possible Maryland Goatman Photos had to say:
I’m in DC for the GRC summit starting today and was playing tennis Saturday morning at Montpelier Park while some friends played golf at Pawtucket Greens. As we were packing up we saw something on the forest bordering the park. As I took out my camera phone it came up onto two feet and I realized it was a goat. I told some people back in DC about a goat walking on two legs and they said it was some old Maryland Goatman legend. I called WBAL in Baltimore and talked to someone about it but I don’t think they believe me. They think it’s a bear holding a freshly killed goat. They ran the story this morning. As a reader, thought you might enjoy.
Some believe the photo shows nothing more than a bear carrying a dead goat, although that seems to be unlikely. There are plenty of skeptics, many of which believe the photo is nothing more than a hoax and most likely some kind of clever costume. There have been plenty of reported sightings of strange creatures in this area, although most of which are attributed to another elusive cryptid known as Bigfoot. So what do you think could this be an actual Maryland Goatman sighting and goatman photo ? Could this be evidence of the Maryland Goatman?
Inconclusive — at best. These two photos just do not ‘move’ my grey matter.
But, hey, you never know.
