Our headquarters is in Danbury, Connecticut and we are available for gigs. Contact our leader, Zack at Larry Zarach for the latest and for booking. We are also Mike, Tim, Steve, Bruce and Glenn.
it’s Willie’s wonderful Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain — covered here by us, The Meadow Brook Drive Band!
That’s Mike singing and on lead guitar. I am very proud to be a small part of this band of gracious, good people. I am ostensibly the sound man but very rarely get to participate in most of the gigs due to the most atrocious logistics ever. Sometimes, though, like below, I get to go and work but I always have to leave early. Feels so weird doing that.
This was recorded on my LG Google Nexus 5 droid phone with the built in mic (I know, right?) using IK Multimedia’s iRig Recorder on Dec 5, ‘15 down in the rehearsal room. Hey, it’s all I had.
- ) An interesting ad lib blues progression with Larry Zarach on vocal one fine day in the same place. I was on the other side of the room, though. And this time it was my new ZOOM H1 at 24/96. Placement bad (on purpose) just to see what it would write.
I was way more than quite pleased with how the boys rendered the Z.Z. Top classic, La Grange. Shortly after in the same session as above.
The Google Photos app made this nice animated gif for me. Wasn’t that ever so nice of it to do that on it’s own?
Hey look, a gig = )
the Meadow Brook Drive Band on a repeat gig on an odd stage.
I’m at the mixer at the other end of that snake.
This one, here:
The little red wagon was just too awesome.
The old Mackie 1642VLZ PRO. Still works great.
June update …
It has been a terribly long time since I have been with the guys.
Didn’t help that my engine let go on a trip up one day a while back.
I know a gig was played a couple of weeks ago.
Strange days.
Sigh
