I’m going up the country, babe, don’t you wanna go?
I’m going up the country, babe, don’t you wanna go?
I’m going to some place where I’ve never been beforeI’m going, I’m going where the water tastes like wine
I’m going where the water tastes like wine
We can jump in the water, stay drunk all the time(Instrumental)
I’m gonna leave this city, got to get away
I’m gonna leave this city, got to get away
All this fussing and fighting, man, you know I sure can’t stayNow baby, pack your leaving trunk, you know we’ve got to leave today
Just exactly where we’re going I cannot say, but
We might even leave the USA
‘Cause there’s a brand new game that I don’t want to play(Instrumental)
No use of you running, or screaming and crying
‘Cause you’ve got a home as long as I’ve got mine(Instrumental)
Ah, memories.
Sometimes I wish I had lived a life where I was not so coddled and protected so I could know in a deeper way what things mean deep down. I would havw also made me much less of a circus freak and more of a person people would want to hang out with.
I have never known that, although I have a handful of friends who occasionally brave my presence for hours on end! But, they always end.
That is the same problem that books have. They end.
Madonne, how about that for digressing! Jeez.
Ah, Canned Heat… they were … fabulous. Sweet. Mellow. Musical. Meaningful. On point. And just plain Good.
