In response to this morning’s post…
One of my favorite cars even in stock form… well, Carlo got to work on it to make it simply awesome.
Also a favorite of the one who caused the vision. And therefore…
Fiat Abarth X1/9 Prototipo, 1973. A racing version of Fiat’s mid-engined sports car.
But wait, Carlo would never leave us in the lurch…
Here’s a live one on the streets of Texas!
Fiat Abarth Prototipo (1973)
The Fiat subsidiary Abarth, in 1973, developed the Abarth X1/9 Prototipo to replace the 124 Spider Abarth as Fiat’s main rally car, but another model was chosen. ‘Prototipo’ is a nice way of putting that nobody knows how many where produced. Parts where constantly swapped and changed during development process. It’s believed that a total of 5 where produced.
