George is a Super Hero to me… not only because he was a Beatle and a fantastic guitarist, but also because of his intellect and philosophy and the fact that he was a certified car nut in the extreme. Love!

This is an entrant in the 2005 Ferrari Design Competition. Try as I might I can not figure out whether it is the Mk20 by an unspecified team, the F Zero by Coventry School of Art & Design, the Avanti by Tokyo Communications Arts or the Rosa Corsa by College for Creative Studies. Weird, eh? This one was not the winner, but was up there.

Whoever penned it gets PentaProps™ up the wazoo because it is gorgeous and definitely worthy of production. In my humble opinion, of course.

Every year Finali Mondiali (“World Finals” in English) mark the end of the Ferrari Corse Clienti racing season. A 4-days racing weekend where the various ‘Ferrari Challenge’ series decree their own champions plus XX Programmes and F1 Clienti alternate with free practice sessions on track. There’s also a final show on Sunday. This year “Finali” were at Monza Circuit and having a media pass I took the opportunity to record from those inaccessible spots around the track that have always intrigued me. So yeah, with this video you could have an idea of how Monza looks like from the various marshalls positions. Hope you like it!

Pininfarina 33/2 Coupé Speciale

The one-off 33/2 Coupè Speciale, revealed by famous designer Pininfarina at the 1969 Paris Motor Show.

Under the striking yellow body there is a 33 Stradale chassis, number 75033.112.

I remember this car.

Thought it was gorgeous in 1969. Still do in 2018!

In 1963, young automotive designer Tom Tjarda, the fellow who later penned the de Tomaso Pantera, while working at Pininfarina, did this superb take on the Chevrolet Corvette and dubbed it the Rondine.

My cousin had an even better one, a 390 GTE Eliminator, back when I was 12.

Awesome, sexy styling with a few innovative tweaks on the venerable Mustang chassis.

Fabuloso! KiKots!

Oh, I loved Iggy so… and still do, not only because he is damn good, but, because his name is Iggy!

LOL

I wasn’t treated well by my peers until my early 20s. Don’t name your kid Iggy if you don’t live in Italy.
