Ralph Willet Dixey (Bannock tribe), Peter Jim (Shoshone tribe) – 1897. [700×954]

Location: Eastern Idaho.

xratedcheese

Genealogy (and more pictures) for Ralph Willet Dixey:

Ralph Willet Dixey (Solomon) was born on 16 October 1874, in Boise, Ada, Idaho, United States as the son of Simon Dixey and Lucille Keller Waterhouse.

Ralph was about 23 in this shot. He had a sister named Ramona.

Three years later, Ralph married a girl named Daisy, and they named their kids Lawrence, Ralph, Lillian, Richard, Edison, and Clarence,

Note from that page:

Ralph was raised by his uncle Simon

Ralph’s mother passed away when Ralph was 2 or 4 and his mother’s brother, Simon raised him and when he was older, another Uncle cared for him. Ralph would call his Uncle Simon his father because that was the only dad he had and knew. Have no record of Ralph’s biological father because the story was told to me that his mother was raped while traveling from Boise to Blackfoot one night while in her tent. The Indians were encouraged to leave the Boise area, so she was one of them that choice to head to Fort Hall where they were promised by the Government that they would be taken care of.

Primitive Forest Tribe Meets Modern Man for the First Time (FULL)

MEDIA TOUR
Apr 11, 2018

as the title suggests, this is a video of when a Primitive Forest Tribe Meets Modern Man for the First Time. white people ruin everything.

It is the Toulambi tribe (The Angu or Änga people, also called Kukukuku) from

Country/Region: Papua, New Guinea.

Continent: Oceania (Australia)

After research, i have found some information (or lack there of).
It *IS* possible that parts of this tribe have had contact with outsiders between 1920-1980, but there’s no telling if the particular group in this video has ever seen modern man. It is clear (assuming the footage is real) that they have never seen a white man before (the way they touch him to see if he’s real) and that they have not seen the modern tools he shows them. If they did have contact with the outside, it would have most likely been many years apart, possibly decades. So, not all members from that time period would still be alive. If fake, it’s extremely well done. Very interesting regardless. ENJOY!!!

An interesting read, (and where the pics below came from), is at 1920s & 1930s: New Guinea Highlanders meet Europeans for the first time.

It is fascinating. I hope to see a follow up of when they return. And, man, I hope that these folks can remain pure, remain in their world. That is my wish for them. Really. Think about it.

The world is a wonderful place.

Derinkuyu – massive ancient multi level underground cities

Ultimate Mysterious
May 15, 2021

The Derinkuyu underground city is an ancient multi-level underground city located in Turkey. The city has at least eight levels and depth of 85 meters , deeper than any of the other underground complexes found in the area, and is fitted with thousands of ventilation shafts and water ways that provided fresh air and water to each level of the site. It is large enough to have sheltered as many as 20,000 people together with their livestock and food stores.

It is the largest excavated underground city in Turkey and is one of several underground complexes found throughout Cappadocia. The city was protected by doors made of massive stone wheels that could be rolled in from of an entrance, essentially making it another wall.

These mysterious stone structures in Saudi Arabia are older than the pyramids

LINK

Thousands of monumental structures built from walls of rock in Saudi Arabia are older than Egypt’s pyramids and the ancient stone circles of Britain, researchers say – making them perhaps the earliest ritual landscape ever identified.

A study published Thursday in the journal Antiquity shows that the mysterious structures dotted around the desert in northwestern Saudi Arabia – called “mustatils” from the Arabic word for “rectangle” – are about 7,000 years old. That’s much older than expected, and about 2,000 years older than either Stonehenge in England or the oldest Egyptian pyramid.

“We think of them as a monumental landscape,” said Melissa Kennedy, an archaeologist at the University of Western Australia in Perth and an author of the study. “We are talking about over 1,000 mustatils. These things are found over 200,000 square kilometers [77,000 square miles], and they’re all very similar in shape … so perhaps it’s the same ritual belief or understanding.”

saudi structures

“There must have been a great level of communication over a very big area, because how they were constructed was communicated to people,” lead author Hugh Thomas, an archaeologist at the same university, said.

The research is funded by the Royal Commission for AlUla, which has been established by the government of Saudi Arabia to preserve the heritage of the AlUla region in the northwest of the country, where many mustatils are found.

Some of the ancient structures are more than 1,500 feet long, but comparatively narrow, and they’re often clustered together. They’re usually built on bedrock, often on rocky outcrops above the desert, but also in mountains and in relatively low-lying areas.

The simplest mustatils were made by piling up rocks into low walls a few feet high to form long rectangles, with a thicker “head” wall at the highest end and a narrow entranceway on the opposite side. The researchers think they may have been built to guide a procession from one end to the other. But they also found many mustatils that were much more complex than they first thought, containing pillars, standing stones and smaller “cells” of rock walls. Kennedy and Thomas estimate one mustatil they surveyed was built by moving more than 12,000 tons of basalt stone – an arduous task that must have taken dozens of people months to complete.

Very cool! There’s more to this article, linked at the top, so check it out, eh.

These, of course, are really around 5,000 years newer than the Giza pyramids and the Sphinx, but they have to toe the line or be pummeled by the lamestream archaeologists, eh.

colossi of memnon

1ilypad

IIRC Lake Moeris had a couple of Colossi built by Amenhotep III that were present up to the 18th century CE and have since disappeared. Archeologists in the 1930s found the two large platforms that they once stood upon.

Herodotus probably saw the Colossi and exaggerated their size due to part of the platforms being submerged and his imagination running wild.

Two of Amenhoteps III’s Colossi, he built quite a few of them, still exist in Luxor so you can see what they could have looked like:

People who hate Herodotus are just so freaking annoying. Then again, most Egyptologists are either sheep or jackasses, IMHO.

America Unearthed: Ark of the Covenant Hidden in Arizona (S2, E1) | Full Episode | History

Scott Wolter gets a call from a man who has a mysterious stone on his property. He’s convinced that it’s the “Stone of Destiny”–the stone that Jacob from the Bible rested his head on, in Season 2, Episode 1, “Ark of the Covenant.”

In “America Unearthed,” host Scott Wolter uses hard science and intuitive theories to explain the most mysterious artifacts and sites in America.

I found this quite interesting, as I have never heard of this theory before. I had been pretty well convinced it was and is at the Coptic church in Axum, Ethiopa.

It is claimed to contain the Ark of the Covenant. It is located in the town of Axum, Tigray. The original church is believed to have been built during the reign of Ezana the first Christian ruler of the Kingdom of Axum (Present-day Eritrea and Ethiopia), during the 4th century AD, and has been rebuilt several times since then.[1]

Archaeologists Discover Bas-Relief of Golden Eagle at Aztec Templo Mayor

January 25, 2021

A team of archaeologists from the Instituto Nacional de Antropologia e Historia (INAH) have announced the discovery of a bas-relief depicting an American golden eagle (aquila chrysaetos canadensis).

For the Mexica, the bird of prey was closely related to war and sacrifice, while being considered a nahual of the sun and, therefore, also of its tutelary god, Huitzilopochtli.

The relief was excavated at the foot of the Templo Mayor (the main temple of the Aztec city of Tenochtitlan in present-day Mexico City), in the central axis that crosses the ‘chapel’ of Huitzilopochtli and the monumental sculpture of the goddess Coyolxauhqui.

I love this… the ancients were just so fabulous. And the Aztec were not6 all that ancient. To my view of ancient, that is. : )
