“the greatest dance number ever filmed"
Fred Astaire once called this “the greatest dance number ever filmed.” A clip from the movie "Stormy Weather" (1943) featuring Cab Calloway and his orchestra performing "Jumpin Jive" with the Nicholas Brothers. If you have January Monday blues, this will sort it.

Times were different then. People were different then. The depth of talent was different then, in a way. I would bet that this was filmed in just one take. That was pretty common back then and for quite a long time. It must have been comforting.
Not that there isn’t talent nowadays, it’s just … a different world.
As far as this fabulosity, I agree with Fred and also with Mario, who said “Man is Spittin’ Fire! and them men be Kickin’ Fire!”
Peace.
